TODO before publishing for real: these cover the waitlist website only. A separate Terms of Service covering the actual paid product (billing, cancellation, data handling, HMRC connection) must be written and agreed before the product accepts paying customers. See PLAN.md §9.

What this site is, for now

This website is a pre-launch marketing site for Simple MTD. It includes free tools (a scope checker and a deadline calculator) and a waitlist sign-up. It does not yet provide the paid product described elsewhere on this site.

The free tools

The scope checker and deadline calculator are provided to help you understand Making Tax Digital for Income Tax in general terms. They're based on publicly available HMRC guidance at the time of writing and are not personalised tax advice. If you're unsure about your own position, check with HMRC directly or a qualified accountant.

No warranty

This site and its tools are provided "as is." While we try to keep information accurate and up to date, HMRC's rules can change, and we can't guarantee the site is error-free or uninterrupted at all times.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and product develop. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
