Who we are

This site and the Simple MTD app are operated by ICARTA LTD, company number 12167146, registered in England and Wales at Sun House, 2-4 Little Peter Street, Manchester, M15 4PS. You can reach us at hello@simple-mtd.co.uk.

What we collect today

At this stage, Simple MTD is a pre-launch waitlist site. The only personal data we collect is the email address you give us when you sign up for updates or use one of our free tools, along with the page you signed up from. We use this only to:

• Send you a confirmation email and, once you've confirmed, occasional updates about launch
• Understand which pages and tools are useful, in aggregate

We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where your data is stored

Waitlist data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare acts as our data processor for hosting.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you at any time. Email hello@simple-mtd.co.uk and we'll action it promptly. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

The Simple MTD app

Once you sign up and connect Simple MTD to HMRC, we handle categories of data well beyond an email address, including encrypted HMRC access tokens, your National Insurance number, and the income/expense records you enter or import. Specifically:

• Your HMRC access tokens are encrypted at rest and never sent to your browser
• Your National Insurance number and financial records are stored to let you keep digital records and submit quarterly updates, as required by Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
• If you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment, we never see or store your card details
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time, the same as above

This site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We don't set tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.
